On a more personal note, I bought my first EV (electric vehicle), a Tesla Model Y. I believe that sustainable transportation is another way to “reclaim” our environment. Of course, driving less or using the bike (which I do as often as possible) or public transportation (where available) is the best solution. But for my art business I have to transport materials and my sculptures. In any case, I think that getting solar and EV’s are moving us into the right direction. Of course, there are many EV brands out there, and any is ok. I decided to purchase a Tesla Model Y for various reasons, such as the ability to charge pretty much anywhere through their SuperChargers (when I drive to art festivals, art shows, etc.) and the cargo space (for my large sculptures).

I am posting this to my website because I think not enough people are aware of the many advantages of electric cars (less pollution, gas savings, less maintenance cost, more quiet, less brake dust through regenerative braking, charge from your solar roof if you have one, etc.). I understand that just buying new stuff does not help, but if you actually need a new car (as I did), making a conscious choice to go electric will help us to move into a more sustainable future.
